Barrow-Smith Consulting Inc. was founded by Kelly Barrow-Smith in 1993 and incorporated in 1999. This firm provides a full range of business services. A staff of ten full time employees enables the company to provide day-to-day bookkeeping, month end reconciliations, year-end reconciliations with Notice to Readers, cash management, budgeting and preparation of both personal and corporate tax returns. Barrow-Smith Consulting Inc. will tailor your company’s package to your company’s individual needs. This organization prides itself in treating each client as if they were our only client.

Personal Profiles:

Kelly Barrow-Smith is the owner and Vice president of Barrow-Smith Consulting. She has her Bachelor of Business Management from Ryerson Polytechnic University, majoring in Business Administration and Accounting Finance. She also has a Certificate in Computer Business Systems and Programming also from Ryerson Polytechnic University. Her work experience has encompassed all aspects of accounting. Kelly’s accounting career began at Wardair International as an Accounts Receivable clerk, working her way up to Supervisor of Revenue Accounting with a staff of 58 and four co-ordinators. Prior to starting her own business, Kelly was the Director of Finance at AirTransat Holidays where she was responsible for cash management, budgeting, financial statements, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll. Kelly was the Manager of Finance for The Canadian Payroll Association, from May 1996 to July 2006, responsible for all aspects of their accounting department.  She has recently resigned from her position at The Canadian Payroll Association in order to further grow her client base at Barrow-Smith Consulting Inc.

 Kim Miller has achieved her accounting diploma from Holland College in Charlottetown PEI. Kim is the supervisor responsible for all clients at Barrow-Smith Consulting. Kim’s past work experience includes working for Rich Business Services, Price Waterhouse Coopers and Holland College Finance Department. Kim began employment with Barrow-Smith Consulting Inc. in March of 2001 and has many years of experience in bookkeeping and reconciliation. Kim manages the bookkeeping of all clients.  Kim is also responsible for the year end reconciliation for corporations, partnerships and sole proprietors. She is responsible for the preparation of personal and corporate tax returns.

Leigh Ivankovic earned a diploma in Business- Marketing at Fanshawe College in London Ontario.  She is a bookkeeper at Barrow-Smith Consulting Inc.  Her previous work experience includes Moncion Grocers, Non-Public Fund Accounts and the Central Victoria Veterinary Hospital.  Leigh has a substantial range of bookkeeping experience in various industries. She helps in many areas at Barrow-Smith Consulting Inc., including data input and processing, as well as account reconciliations.  In the near future Leigh is planning to enhance her skills further with business & taxation courses in order to extend her knowledge in this industry.
